Place for Hope is run by a team of Christians based in both the UK and in Kosova, who have a vision to reach the children and parents of families affected by disability in Kosova. Included in the team are occupational therapist, special needs teachers, teaching assistants, speech and language therapy student, social worker, accountant and student pastor.

It started with a six month sabbatical from work in the UK to live in Kosova to work with children and adults with disabilities. During my time in Kosova I was touched by the poverty and impossible conditions that these people live in. The disabled people are given little help from the government and the majority of the children are not accepted into school. Our aim is to offer advice and training, provide equipment and develop support networks with a christian attitude. Our representatives in Kosova spend time visiting these families to offer emotional support and carry out activities with the children. We also have a heart to offer practical support where we can, including work projects and often link with other charities to distribute humanitarian aid.

We are now thrillled to be registered with the charity commisioners and have received the number 1119608.
