Place for Hope

We have a vision to reach the children of Kosova with equipment, time and activities mainly directed at children with special needs and their families. Place for hope is a small organisation founded by a family with a heart to support those with disability in Kosova. We aim to work alongside churches to offer advice, equipment and emotional support to those who desire and need it. We also desire to build a future for these children by working alongside their families. We would be grateful for your prayers and support. We are in need of prayer warriors and volunteers as well as finances. Kosova is a small area recently granted independence following the war which ended several years ago. There have been many years of oppression prior to the war and as a result many are unemployed and there is increasing amounts of poverty. This being so the disabled people are given little support financially and there is no wheelchairs or equipment that in England we take for granted.

We have representatives who live in Gjakova  and spend their time visiting families and carrying out activities with the children. They often use stories from the bible in their activities and have linked with other organisations to deliver humanitarian aid to the families.

Thanks to the generosity of Kent County Council and many other professionals we have been given a lot of specialist equipment suitable for disabled children. This equipment has now been shipped to Kosova and distributed to families and children who need it. You can see pictures in our photo gallery.
